CHARACTER NAME: Daisuke Nagase
AGE: 17

PERSONALITY:
Daisuke's the type of guy who will wear his heart on his sleeve. When he's happy he'll portray it with a grin or a pat on the shoulder if something went well during practice. If something's troubling him he'll try to brush it off or deny that there's nothing wrong with him. If he's angry about something he'll have no problem at all speaking his mind about it and telling the person off for their actions. In a way he's kind of brash when he's angry and will do the first thing that pops into his mind. A good example of this was when the others told Souji to take the soccer posts down all by himself. Daisuke instantly flew off the handle and told Souji that he shouldn't have to do that by himself and that they should just go home until Kou interjected and told them that they should still take the posts down, but only because they want to help the team out. He can also be a little slow on the uptake and can be headstrong and rush into things without really thinking things through. He's very much the type to act now and think later.

Daisuke also has a horrible case of foot-in-mouth syndrome and will say things at the wrong time. A great example of this would be him telling Nanako that she doesn't look cute right before he and the others head out for the movies. Another good example of this would be any interactions he has with girls. There are times where he makes a complete ass out of himself when he's around girls; but he means well, really. He either doesn't notice them or says that they're distracting when they come up to talk to the team. He can also be pretty blunt and downright irritable when he's frustrated or angry.

One of the main issues Daisuke has and is forced to realize would be the fact that he's not putting his very best into everything he does. This fear not only limited his opportunity at getting a girlfriend, but it also affected how he preformed in soccer as well. In middle school he had a girlfriend and wanted to do everything with her, but she knew that the Daisuke she fell in love with was the guy on the field and couldn't go on loving him. Because of that he tends to be a bit... guarded when he's around women, mostly so he doesn't get hurt like that again. Fortunately for him he was able to realize and overcome this fear with the help of his friends. At the end of his social link the love and passion he had for the sport is fully restored and he tells Souji that he's going to push himself to give 110% in everything.

When he takes an interest in something he'll do his very best to see it get accomplished to the very end. When he helped Souji out he was very excited that he could get to help someone grow and fit in with the rest of the team. When it comes to helping Kou out with his family problems he does his best to get Kou interested in basketball again. He even goes as far as setting up a game and blackmailing a bunch of the players on the team just so his plan could work out. Sometimes he can be a bit forgetful when it comes to certain things, but overall he's a really great friend. And always has their back, whether it's helping someone overcome something or helping them polish balls. As a side note he seems to prefer living in the country than being in the city. He feels more relaxed when in the country than he does whenever he visits Okina.

WHERE THEY ARE NOW?
As Daisuke was a junior at the start of the game he still has one more year left to go. A senior now, he's most likely still on the soccer team and is most definitely still best friends with Kou Ichijou. If I had to say he would probably be the soccer captain (if he wasn't already.) He's definitely different when it comes to girls. He's more open around them and treats them differently thanks to the combined efforts of Souji and Kou. He'll still have his moments with them (i.e. his foot in mouth problem) but he's working on it. At the end of his social link he even agreed to go out on a group date with those girls, so he's probably doing a little bit of that. He's also definitely putting his all into soccer now, no more half-assing.
